I am a queer tattoo artist and illustrator working out of Calgary, Alberta Canada, where I have lived since 2013. I have a bachelor of Applied Arts in Illustration from Sheridan College which I completed with honours in 2012. My work has been published in a number of Canadian and international publications since 2013, most recently in TMU Review of Journalism in 2024. I have been tattooing since 2019, where I work at Haven Tattoo Studio alongside owner and local artist/tattooer Heather McClean.

My artistic practice begins with curiosity and intention. My illustration background is central to this process of making images that connect and convey information and emotion. I have always been drawn to figurative work and representing wonderfully imperfect bodies and beings. My queerness has always (at times unknowingly) been central to my work, pushing back against the male gaze and representations that are unrealistic and frustrating. I always desire to create stories within my work, sharing experiences from life and the struggles of self.

My tattoo practice is centered around informed consent for the comfort and safety of my clients. Tattooing is a collaboration between artist and client, and open communication throughout booking, designing, and actual tattooing is integral to a positive experience. It is important to me that I meet my client’s needs and expectations by creating the artwork they want while ensuring their tattoo will age well and hold up over time. As a queer woman in the tattoo industry, the importance of safety and inclusion is deeply important to me, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve my community, especially my 2SLGBTQplus family.

You can find more of my tattoo work on my Instagram and Bluesky accounts. My tattoo books are always open for custom work or predrawn flash designs, and I am available for freelance and commissions as well.
